Activities
The number of opportunities provided to you when you join Phi Alpha Delta are endless. We offer mock trial experience, community service projects, social events, law school admissions help, LSAT Prep discounts, and numerous networking options.
Mock Trial
We have a variety of mock trial programs within Phi Alpha Delta. First, we offer In-House Mock Trial, a program between you and your fellow Phi Alpha Delta buddies. This is a perfect way to dip your toes in, and learn (from the best) how to be a lawyer or witness for mock trial. If you already have mock trial experience, feel free to try out for one of our teams which compete in Charity Tournaments, at States, and at Nationals. With Phi Alpha Delta representing as back-to-back NATIONAL CHAMPIONS for 2011 and 2012, and State Champions for 2010, 2011, and 2012, you couldn’t be learning from a more qualified team.
Community Service
Service to the community is one of the core pillars of Phi Alpha Delta. PAD loves to give back to the Gainesville area by volunteering at various organizations throughout the year. Some of our upcoming events include Bingo Night with an Assisted Living Community, Trick or Treat so Others May Eat, and Relay for Life! Come join us in our efforts to improve our neighborhood!
Mentorship Program

It can be hard to keep track of all the new friends you will be making in Phi Alpha Delta. That's why we offer you the opportunity to get paired up with an older member who will mentor, guide, and enrich your PAD experience! Not only do you get to learn the ins and outs of the organization, but you can make a friend for life.
Professional and Networking

Connections are extremely important in the world of law. You never know whether or not meeting someone will land you anything from a fee waiver to a law school or a future job. At our general body meetings, we bring in speakers from all different spectrums of the criminal justice system. We allow our members to talk and ask questions to everyone who comes in. We have even participated in Graduate and Professional Day where our members became personally introduced to admissions officers from many different law schools. We also had an exclusive law panel with admissions officers for our members only. Networking is important, UF Phi Alpha Delta does everything to make sure an opportunity is never missed.
Law School Admissions
The main goal of most members in our chapter is to figure out whether or not law school is the best option. We have countless opportunities to provide insight about the application process and what is to be expected from the admissions office. From Personal Statement workshops to one-on-one discussions with admissions representatives from all over the nation, Phi Alpha Delta is dedicated to helping the admissions process go smoother for applicants.
Socials
What good is a club, when no one knows each other? We have many socials throughout the semester, so you can network and get to know your fellow members. This is a great time to vent about your tough classes, get advice from older students, and get to know the next generation of upcoming lawyers. This semester we have numerous exciting social opportunities, including dinners after our General Body Meetings, football tailgating, a murder mystery dinner, and 34th Street Wall Painting. We have a very exciting semester ahead of us and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Intramurals

Having a long semester? Exhausted from studying? Co-ed intramurals are a great way to let off some steam with your fellow pre-law students. We participate in flag football on Mondays and volleyball on Wednesdays. No experience is necessary! This is a great way to bond with your fellow members, meet more people in the club, as well as represent the club across campus.
